Bring Your Thanks to Others as God’s Gift to the World (2)

The Apostle Paul wrote to his fellow Christians in Philippi:

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, — Philippians 1:3 (ESV)

You have real power to affect someone’s day — maybe even their life — just by expressing your thanks. Think about how good it felt to you when someone thanked you. Today, be that for someone else.

You can bring the light of God’s love into the world today by telling someone that you thank God for him or her.

Who are you thankful for? Put a “thank you” call on your calendar or todo list. Maybe you should do one each day during this week? Or write that email immediately. It will only take a moment. Here’s a template you can even copy and paste:

Since this is Thanksgiving week, I am thinking a lot about people I am thankful for. YOU are one of those people. I just wanted to let you know.

Have a great day,

Of course, you can compose your own. But be brief. A brief “thank you” actually sent is better than a heartfelt, beautifully composed “thank you” that never gets done.

And, dear subscriber, I am thankful for YOU!

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, though I am continually growing in understanding what that means. I believe that God loves everyone all the time. The world was created for love and whenever we veer from love, we miss the mark of who we were created to be.
